I always wanted to live peacefully and have a simple daily modern life. But, it is not an easy task. You all know the importance of living peacefully, simplifying, and decluttering things. Minimalism was a trend to look out for, and it gained traction last year when every YouTuber, blogger, radio host, or podcaster was swearing by.
Not to mention, the sale of calendars, diaries, and techniques as online classes that teach us or help us maintain minimalism life or ways to simplify our life.
But why we are trying so hard to live a minimalistic life or trying to follow a minimalist daily routine
Is it bad to have some more of everything? I am not saying to go against any content creator or preacher of the minimalistic philosophy but I do agree with an old phrase that says, “ Having something more of anything is always better than having nothing”
“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”— Confucius
So why do people always ask for tools, tricks, methods, and ways to live a minimalistic life.
I Believe living minimalistic and easily is all related to a wish to have a daily life with less pressure and an easy way instead of a chaotic way to increase productivity, Having a method, and reading about it is important, but what is more important is to believe in them.
Ya, ya I know you must have been thinking that implementing is important because that is what our traditional and even modern books, podcasts, live classes, or gurus says. But have you ever wondered why it never works out? That was surely the case for me.
Steve Jobs once said,
“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”— Steve Jobs
I read books, write diaries, watch seminars, stream youtube videos and listen to podcasts, but I never changed. I do agree with the presenter, creator, or speaker when I consume and thought I can do as well but still, I was in the same place.
As Albert Einstein said,
“If you can’t explain it to a 6-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself.”
I secretly find the problem one day and realized it was not the steps we take after listening to them, even believing them for a short time.
What we need to move ahead and get rolling is the belief from inside that yes this is the way that works for me because I believe it is what it is and what combines with my personality.
If I am lazy, then yes I am lazy but do I want to work on that laziness part or it is just hype by watching a video of a person of the same age, same views, and same daily life? Noo, they are different and you are different. That’s why we say every individual is different.

Even doppelgangers have different personalities so how can a common solution work for millions of people watching that video?
Are you a robot or an AI system having the same taste, mood, and pattern?
Even the same person who loves pizza starts eating it every day and loving it will someday get tired of pizza tase and want to have a different palate or different solution.
At that time will it work to order one more pizza for that person, because it is his favorite, I don’t think so?
While searching my solution for my problems and getting to know about the minimalistic trend, I came across so many blogs, videos, articles, and podcasts that preach and speak about the same solutions, like live minimalistic, live simple, live less, complain less, eliminate stress, want less, spend less time online and so on.
Everyone knows even we tend not to use much but still need them so how can anyone not use them. Some say eliminate stress, so buddy if we had known how to be not stressful even after trying various solutions, why would we still be looking for the solutions?
I mean how can a patient treat himself with the same medicine, even that medicine is not working on the body, How can we accept it to be a solution to the disease or call treatment.
Fed up with all the content out there in our internet world, I decided to find a solution or rather important points to remember, that I can use on myself to make my everyday life simpler.
By simple, I do not mean to sell everything or have less. Why would I? I don’t want to lose anything? Do you?
Tried, tested, reviewed, and accepted. Tried, tested, reviewed and written, accepted written/ documented, and now sharing with you all guys what works for me, I hope these 7 steps can give a hint for your solutions to the problems you are facing and radically simplify your morning routine.
As I always said, Our problem is our problem, none of your problems, In the same context, our solution is to be my unique answers, none of a solution that will work perfectly for your problem.

Here, we go, read on, think, see if you can accept. If yes, accept that it is what you need to believe, If no, leave that rule for you. Not every step is required for your unique solution.
If we had to mix all of them, then why bother with your unique solution right?
1. Know your why?
Why do you want to create a life which is simple and clutter-free, Why do you feel overwhelmed? Why are you finding solutions to ease your life? Why that book, seminar, or live session does not work.
When you start digging and digging, you will know why you were never able to achieve that clutter-free life and why you want so desperately.
Why you were not able to be persistent in your guided action received via that podcasts or blog and why you are still looking for answers. Once you keep asking why, why, and why.
You will know why it will work this time and why you will be able to simplify your life and daily life?
2. List all the things that are important to you and Do
Note the things/work/action that needs your attention and requires to be completed by the end of the week.
Long-term planning and dreams are ok but without taking any action you are nowhere to be going and so is your hectic life.
Writing, Sorting, and prioritizing your tasks will help you a lot in remembering what all things are to be done now
3. Set a reminder/ deadline with a quick note of what will happen if ignored
I know this sounds crazy but earlier whenever I tried using the reminder system and a pop-up came up into my laptop, I simply dismiss that and continue binge-watching shows or youtube.
I know that’s a bad habit and my work never gets completed. And so is y goal. But later I came to realize that adding a reminder only is not effective in my case so I started mentioning the end results as well if I ignore or dismiss that reminder.
It was dismissed at the first time, then the second time, the third time, and a fourth time, I read the note and was still dismissed.
You must be thinking what’s the use then.
Dear, that’s the problem with a determined lazy person like me. But trust me it worked as after reading and dismissing, it hit my consciousness, and then at 8th time, I started working.
At 9th time I completed and it gave me a sense of good feeling.
After repeating the same cycle. After 4 months, it became my habit to complete the work and never ignore the reminder and that’s how I changed my routine.
4. Remove the phrase from your mind: I don’t know how?
Many people said that they don’t know how to do this.
Trust me, you do know but just do not want to know
It means you know how you should do it, what should be done, why should be done but the problem is either you believe that time is unlimited or you are short of time.
If you think deeply and quietly about these problems you already can guess the answer. If you start thinking that time is unlimited, you will sooner come to realize that it was not the truth.
You already know that your time is limited and so does your reason to delay the task or goal.
Remember, it is easy to say that you don’t know in place of trying to find a solution.
As humans, we tend to gravitate towards easiness and thus we are stuck in the closed & continuous circle of “ I don’t know”
5. Set mandatory white space in your daily schedule
What do you mean by white space?
You must be thinking of a space with white colors. I thought that too when I first heard that word and I laugh at myself for thinking like that too. You can laugh too.
It isn’t a bad thing to laugh and even more so at yourself sometimes. It shows that you are accepting the things and the mistakes too.
White space means a quiet time where you have nothing scheduled, nothing related to work, nothing to be stressed about.
I know, I know I said that scheduling and keeping a planner is a must and so is a dedicated free schedule every day for yourself.
It can be of 10 minutes only but you have to be persistent and sincere in that daily 10 minutes. You can do anything at that time.
You can meditate, you can just take a brief walk, you can move away from your laptop and look at the sky, you can just look at the plants, you can listen to your cheerful music, you can try looking at yourself in the mirror.
The more time you dedicate to yourself the merrier.
I know all the ideas seems a bit not astray but appreciating yourself in that white space is a must. You must add your own choice of colors to your own white space moment.
If you were to describe your life at the moment, how many of us would use the word ‘busy.’
When was the last time you just sat and did nothing? Reflected? Took time out for yourself just to ‘be’?

Stop being ‘busy’ for the sake of being busy. Be still. Recharge. Re-engage. Your mindfulness journey starts now.
6. Everything Starts and End with now
Even though it’s a cliché that we should take action and not just speak up or read it, it is very hard to take action in real.
I know the real pain is in working.
When I was living a hectic and cluttered full life, it struck me that why I am unable to take any action.
Why I am not able to live like those who are diligent and have dreams. I also have dreams, I also read inspirational and productivity books, I also watch motivational videos and blogs just like you are doing now. I tried, I read, I made up my mind.
I planned and I was ready, but nothing happened. I tried again but all in vain. I thought about why the problem arises even though I was reading a lot and know what should I do and how.
One day, while I was in my white space-time, a light struck to my mind. I can’t believe that I finally know the reason.
You know, people like me who are exceptionally lazy always tend to push the tasks, works and even leisure time. I know where I was wrong.
I always made plans but decided to start on a specific day or time like I should start my new goal plan on Monday or I will start this article after watching a movie, I will start after 6 pm.
I will start after having lunch and so on. I was never asking or planning on why not now.
What’s the matter now? Am I very busy now? No. But why do I always leave my plans to later?
And that later never happened. That’s why you should start now.
Waiting means never, especially if you are very motivated but only in your mind.
7. Remember the word: WITMAZER
Let me first tell you what is the full form of this word exactly is. Here you go:
R -Respect & rewards
Do not think too much of the future, Do not think if you can do it, Do not think if this is the right path, Do not think if what you are doing is worth it. Do not!
As the word, WITMAZER just do what winners do if you want to be like one of them.
Winners work in the moment, in now, and adding zeal in the process they enjoy both the respect and rewards.
I know you must be thinking why I have mentioned my website name. It is because I know why I started and how. I was confused, I was afraid, I was doubtful, I was lazy.
But this word always made me realize, if I do now, If I just focus in the moment everything else will work out eventually.
So, that’s how we are now to the end of our conversation.
These are the 7 tips that I have personally used to turn my life around. It helped me to decrease my utter laziness.
Yes, I agree I am not able to completely remove that ill habit, but at least I can take a step and work on it. That was my biggest achievement.
